FRESHWATER AQUARIUM SERVICE AGREEMENT

This Agreement is entered into between [Lane Aquatics] (hereafter referred to as the "Service Provider") and the Customer listed below.

2. Description of Services

The Service Provider agrees to perform the following checked services (the "Services"):

  • [ ] Routine Maintenance (Water changes, glass cleaning, filter servicing)

  • [ ] Aquascaping / Decorating

  • [ ] Water Parameter Testing & Diagnostics

3. Structural Integrity & Stand Liability (Crucial Protection)

  • Floor & Stand Strength: The Customer understands that aquariums are extremely heavy (approximately 10 lbs per gallon when filled with water and substrate). The Customer assumes all responsibility for ensuring that the floor, shelving, and aquarium stand are structurally capable of supporting the total weight of the aquarium.

  • Prior Damage: The Service Provider is not responsible for any structural sagging, flooring cracks, or stand failures before, during, or after the installation or service.

4. Live Livestock & Coral/Plant Warranty

  • No Guarantee on Live Animals: Due to the fragile nature of aquatic life, the unpredictable impact of water chemistry transitions, and pre-existing health conditions, the Service Provider gives no warranty or guarantee on the survival or health of any fish, invertebrates, or live plants.

  • Release of Liability: The Service Provider is not liable for the sickness, injury, or death of any livestock, regardless of the cause, including but not limited to tank resets, equipment malfunctions, or water parameter shifts.

5. Equipment & Manufacturer Failures

  • Existing Equipment: The Service Provider will inspect equipment during service but is not liable for the sudden failure of heaters, filters, lights, or pumps owned by the Customer.

  • Tank Seam/Glass Failure: The Service Provider is not liable for manufacturing defects, glass breakage, or silicone seam leaks that occur under normal operating conditions.

6. Water Supply & Chemistry Disclaimer

  • Municipal/Well Water: If the Service Provider uses the Customer's tap or well water to fill or service the tank, the Service Provider is not responsible for sudden changes in the municipality’s water supply (such as seasonal chloramine spikes or heavy metals) that may negatively impact the aquarium ecosystem.

7. Access to Property

  • If the Customer is not home during the scheduled service, the Customer agrees to provide safe entry (keys, garage codes, etc.). The Service Provider agrees to keep this access information secure and confidential.

8. Payment Terms
